Something that I thought was lost has now been found.
I can finally write about it as it is now official.
On January 1, I begin a new professional journey. My escape the rut post was entirely auto-biographical. Those were the steps I took to leave the well trodden path that was laid before me. I am so very excited (and utterly terrified).
Woo hoo! I'm confused though - this is the job you thought you hadn't got or is it a different one?
Just in LA at the minute - heading off to Mexico at the weekend and will probably be heading through Colorado some time in April.

Hey Mel
Yep, this is the job I thought I had not gotten. I only applied for the one. Even seeing the press release and getting keys to my office today, it's hard for me to believe it's really going to be mine.
I think it must be like holding the winning lotto ticket where you keep looking at the winning numbers and back to your ticket unsure that it's real.
And, I am so looking forward to meeting you in April. Our door is open. Do come through CO and see us. :)

Thank you Steve. I am so incredibly excited about this new opportunity.
I attended a leadership training series for women in higher education adminstration hosted by the HERS Institute recently. I used your Satir change model graphic to illustrate my "change challenge" in my current position. The head of the organization loved the model and plans to move it into her curriculum on leading through change in the future.
